Happy Easter! Emily and I celebrated in our pjs with tea and cadbury chocolate eggs (which were absolutely delicious!) Because we had missed the craft beer festival the previous day (like I posted before, #stillnotoverit) we decided to go to House of Beers in Thonglo for brunch. Tash, Ben, Emily, myself, Holly and Funny met up. After ordering our first round of beers we found out that the kitchen was making a limited menu for the afternoon. Ok, no problem. As long as we could still get beers. About a quarter of the way through our second round, our waiter informed us that the time was almost 2pm. Establishments in Bangkok are not allowed to serve or sell alcoholic beverages between 2 and 5 pm and 2 and 5 am as per thai law. However, a good number of establishments pay off the enforcers of said thai law and therefore can serve and sell at any times they please. Why would House of Beers, an establishment with over 60 craft beers, not do the same?
We were not going to stand for missing the craft beer festival on Saturday and then being cut off prematurely on Sunday. So, at 1:55pm, we ordered rounds three, four and five. We were set for the afternoon; a happy Easter was had by all!
