This weekend we took an excursion to Siem Reap. On our way we stopped at spider village. I ate a grasshopper and a tarantula! #whatagreatsourceofprotein
The tarantulas were grilled in garlic and were really crunchy; not a lot of meaty substance. The grasshopper looked alive still, but again not a lot of substance, just crunchy outer shell.
Since the 2nd pic looks more like a grasshopper can I assume that the appetizing thing in the bowl is tarantula? Good for you for tasting them!
