My Final Adventure... in Thailand... for now...

Sunday, 28th Aug. 2016

I can't believe it. After 10 months, it's over. It's ending. It's coming to a close. I'm leaving the city I called home for 6 months. I'm leaving the continent I explored. I'm leaving the friends I've made. But there's one thing that's keeping me going- the experiences. I'm not leaving those behind. They've become a part of me. Of who I am. Of what I believe. Of how I see the world. I am so eternally grateful for the many, many experiences I've had in South East Asia that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
My final day was a whirlwind. I scheduled myself for a hair appointment (obviously) because I absolutely loved the head massages, deep conditioning treatments and cheap prices that come standard.

I then met my thai teacher, June, for chocolate (one of her favorite treats) But instead of me treating her, she surprised me and brought me to the mall (how appropo for my last day in Bangkok) and introduced me to the most amazing sweet treat I've ever had. Seriously guys I'm bringing these to the states and I'm going to make millions. It was such an amazing delicious experience, while at the same time, so incredibly sad that I was leaving this teacher, but more importantly, this friend.

I then went to my apartment complex to exchange my goodbyes with Piep and Nut- the servicemen in my building who had unjudgingly allowed me to practice my thai with them over the course of the last 6 months.

And then, before the airport, I had to have one final massage. Lauren and Jenna came with me and we relaxed in the comfiest of chairs in the craziest of settings.
I enjoyed every moment. This was my Bangkok. This was my Thailand. This was my adventure. And this, this was the best thing I had ever done in my life.
